LENZIE 3rds 24 - 5 Paisley Penguins

Lenzie captain Donnachie chose well at the coin-toss and gave the kick to Paisley ... it went straight to Cameron who made a rather unorthodox over-the-shoulder pass which was taken on by Carson who then interlinked with the halfbacks to run the length of the park to score between the posts. Easily converted by Henderson it give the home side an early lead without the visitors laying a hand on the ball.

Paisleys feathers were ruffled and they became a little too physical as they tried to counterattack resulting in their prop taking an early bath following a loose boot striking halfback Campbell on the head. Lenzie again went on the offensive resulting in Henderson scoring an unconverted try in the corner.

Paisley stuck to their task and were eventually rewarded with an unconverted try just before half time. Half time saw wholesale changes for Lenzie thanks to having a squad of over 20 players however the replacements were all up to the task.
Lenzie remained in control of the match and there pressure was justly rewarded with tries from Moir (Converted by Jack) and Murray to seal a well deserved victory.

Next Saturday sees the 3rd XV play host to old rivals Dalziel (Motherwell) at Viewfield kicking off at 2pm
